Suzanne Vega
In Concert
Release Date: 1993
Label: One World
Rating:

The lack of information on this disc and the inaccuracy of what is there ("Tired of Sleeping" is misidentified as "Blood Sings," Marlene is misspelled) suggest that this is a European bootleg. Recorded "live at the Coach House, San Juan Capistano, California, USA, 1993," it is a 37-minute, nine-song concert performance in which Suzanne Vega, whose music has changed drastically from her first album in 1985 to the mid-'90s, plays tunes from each of her four studio albums, managing to bring some consistency to such diverse material as the folkish "Marlene on the Wall" and the harshly percussive and synthesized "Blood Makes Noise." The album is notable for containing Vega's best-known material, effectively performed in reasonable sound quality. William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
