Woman Goes To Jail for Stealing Frank Sinatra Heirlooms, Recordings

A woman has been sentenced to 30 months for stealing prized heirlooms and original Frank Sinatra recordings from the estate of late Hollywood star Ava Gardner. Prosecutors say Renee Sykes took more than $1 million worth of property between 2001 and 2005 when she worked as a nurse caring for Gardner's older sister, Myra Pearce.

Hometown Post Office Pays Tribute to Ava Gardner

Late movie icon Ava Gardner has been honored with her own post office in the county where she grew up. Smithfield Post Office in Johnston County, North Carolina, was renamed the "Ava Gardner Post Office" after President George W. Bush signed legislation on Monday.
